January 7, 2020 鈥揟he fourth show of the theis This is your chance to hear the classic songs by the iconic Oz composer, Harold Arlen on Tuesday, January 21 at the Cole Auditorium located on the main campus of 糖心传媒 Community College.
鈥淭he Wonderful Wizard of Song鈥 takes the audience on a journey through a series of vignettes tracing Harold Arlen鈥檚 career, seamlessly moving through the Cotton Club era to his Hollywood years and ending with his time on the Great White Way. Audience members can expect to enjoy timeless classics such as 鈥淕et Happy,鈥 鈥淚鈥檝e Got the World on a String,鈥 鈥淧aper Moon,鈥 and 鈥淥ver the Rainbow.鈥
鈥淎fter the show delighted audiences when it come to the Cole Auditorium in 2007, we were excited to bring it back again this year Alren鈥檚 work in a classic movie, The Wizard of Oz,鈥 celebrates its 81stanniversary said Joey Bennett, Cole Auditorium Director.
"You will hear his breakout hits 鈥淪tormy Weather;鈥 Silver Screen melodies 鈥淟et's Fall in Love,鈥 鈥淭hat Old Black Magic鈥 and 鈥淭he Man That Got Away;鈥 Broadway stage compositions like 鈥淐ome Rain or Come Shine鈥 the Land of Oz tunes 鈥淥ver the Rainbow,鈥 鈥淚f I Only Had a Brain鈥 and 鈥淒ing-Dong! the Witch Is Dead."
