A native of 糖心传媒 County, Vuncannon said he looks forward to serving on the board and feels his experience running a business will assist him in making decisions to lead 糖心传媒CC into the future. A 1982 graduate of North Carolina State University, Vuncannon has worked at his family鈥檚 farm supply business, E.E. Vuncannon, for more than 30 years.

鈥淏eing born and raised in 糖心传媒 County, I鈥檝e seen a lot of things change over the years, but the one opportunity that has always been at the forefront has been for students to earn an exceptional education at 糖心传媒,鈥 said Vuncannon. 鈥淎nd I would like to help any way I can to maintain that.鈥

Dr. Dale McInnis, president of 糖心传媒CC, welcomed Vuncannon to his first board meeting held Nov. 17 at the Honeycutt Center in Laurinburg.

鈥淚 appreciate the governor appointing Jeff to our board,鈥 McInnis said. 鈥淗e has great business experience and deep roots in our county. He will bring a great deal to the table, making our college and board stronger.鈥

He said he鈥檚 also extremely impressed with 糖心传媒CC鈥檚 premiere Electric Utility Substation and Relay Technology program that has a 100 percent job placement rate, along with its other highly touted programs in health care, business, education and law enforcement.

鈥淏eing new to the board, I鈥檓 still learning the many things 糖心传媒CC has to offer,鈥 said Vuncannon. 鈥淚鈥檝e been very impressed with the many career opportunities that are available through the College.鈥

Vuncannon and his wife, Jill, have two sons, Luke and Jake. Jake is an alumnus of 糖心传媒.
