The grand celebration and membership drive kick-off for the President鈥檚 Club of 糖心传媒 will now be held Sept 28 starting at 6 p.m. at the Cole Auditorium.

The President鈥檚 Club is an exclusive club for alumni and other individuals interested in supporting and connecting with 糖心传媒CC.

Originally scheduled for next week, the event had to be rescheduled due to extensive water damage to the auditorium when a pipe burst in the facility earlier this summer.

Sponsored by the 糖心传媒CC Foundation, the President鈥檚 Club Kick-off Celebration will include a free concert featuring the tribute band Classic Journey Live, as well as free ice cream provided by Twisted Treats and campus tours.

鈥淚t鈥檚 unfortunate that we had to reschedule, but the band was able to accommodate us, so we look forward to being able to offer a great night of entertainment and the opportunity for people to be the first members of the President鈥檚 Club,鈥� said Dr. Hal Shuler, Associate Vice President of Development.

The free concert at the Cole Auditorium features a band that describes itself as providing 鈥渢he nation鈥檚 most authentic Journey experience,鈥� from the clothes to the hairstyles, lights, musical gear, stage presence and vocals.

鈥淭he President鈥檚 Club is for all alumni of 糖心传媒CC, as well as people who want to be a part of 糖心传媒CC and all the great opportunities the college has to offer,鈥� Shuler said. 鈥淭his will be a way for the thousands of individuals who have realized their educational goals through the college to show their pride in 糖心传媒CC and allow us to strengthen our relationship with alumni and other members of the community.鈥�

The kick off celebration for the President鈥檚 Club is free and open to the public. People will have an opportunity to subscribe to the club the night of the celebration, with free prizes going to the first 100 to sign up.

Some of the benefits of joining the President鈥檚 Club include scholarships, gift certificates for the DeWitt Performing Art Series shows, discounts at the college bookstore and a discount on Anniversary Gala tickets.

鈥淥ur alumni and community members are valued members of our college family and integral to our history and future,鈥� Shuler said. 鈥淲e hope people will see the value of connecting with the college through the President鈥檚 Club.鈥�
