Oct. 27, 2016 - If you own a small business and tax season is scarier than Halloween, the  at 糖心传媒 is here to help you! For the first time ever, the Small Business Center is offering a free webinar, 鈥�2017 Tax Season, Are you Ready?鈥�

Tax specialists from N.C. Department of Revenue and Internal Revenue Service will be providing valuable information about the 2017 filing season through a free webinar from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Cole Auditorium.

As a webinar, you can participate in this online seminar from your home or work using a personal computer with Internet access. If you do not have a computer or Internet access, you can view this webinar in a group session at the Cole Auditorium on the main campus of the College in Hamlet.

鈥淲e encourage people to take advantage of this unique opportunity for a free online webinar, whether you view it from home or at the space we鈥檙e providing at the Cole Auditorium,鈥� Small Business Center Director Deborah Hardison said. 鈥淭his a great way for us to share our resources with the community. This webinar is a one-stop shop for new and existing small businesses.鈥�

Topics of the webinar will include:

鈥� Federal and State small business tax information
鈥� Jump Start Program with the NC Employment Tax Form 941 updates
鈥� W-4 requirements 鈥� Ways to protect yourself from identity theft
鈥� State tax return changes

There are two ways to attend this seminar:
