To recognize her successful and impactful career, the 糖心传媒CC Foundation has named her the 2022 糖心传媒CC Outstanding Alumni.
鈥淚 am humbled and honored to have been chosen for this distinction. I have had the pleasure of working with many successful graduates from 糖心传媒, and I feel as a fellow alumnus their successes are my successes,鈥 Land said. 鈥淭his is a full circle moment as I have remained committed to the residents of 糖心传媒 County and surrounding counties since graduation.鈥
Land will be honored at 糖心传媒CC鈥檚 Convocation on Oct. 19, 2022.
鈥淐hristy鈥檚 passion for healthcare and being of service to her community make her very deserving of this award. She has taken the education she received here at 糖心传媒CC and shown just how far that foundation can take you,鈥 said Dr. Hal Shuler, who is over the 糖心传媒CC Foundation. 鈥淲e are happy to have her representing not only 糖心传媒CC, but also our school of nursing.鈥

Land said while it sounds like a clich茅, she always wanted to help others.
鈥淚 wanted a career that was challenging, interesting, and made a difference in people's lives daily,鈥 she said.
Land has served in various patient care roles and leadership positions throughout her nursing career. 鈥溙切拇紺C provided the foundation and paved the road to a successful career in healthcare,鈥 Land said. 鈥淭he faculty prepared me with the skills necessary to transition to my professional role. I thrived as a nurse in both intensive care and emergency medicine, creating lasting relationships with colleagues and building a network that would later serve me in my executive role.鈥
Land serves on the board for the 糖心传媒 County Partnership for Children and the 糖心传媒 County Local Emergency Planning Committee. She also volunteers with the 糖心传媒 County United Way, 糖心传媒 and Rockingham Parks and Recreation. She is a graduate of the State of North Carolina Leadership 糖心传媒 program. 鈥淎s an alumnus, my vision is to be committed to making 糖心传媒 County a healthier place to live. Strengthening FirstHealth鈥檚 partnership with 糖心传媒CC will assist future healthcare workers with rural employment opportunities; therefore, ensuring the residents of 糖心传媒 County will receive quality and compassionate healthcare,鈥 she said.
