Cyber Wednesday Seminar Tackles Bad Business Reviews Online

Sep 5

More than 69 percent of the public uses some type of social media. In the 鈥渙ld鈥 days, most unhappy customer鈥檚 complaints did not reach thousands of people. Now, they do. How your business chooses to respond to these reviews can either help or damage your business鈥 reputation.

A free seminar titled 鈥淗ow to get more Positive Reviews Online that Lead to More Real Business for Business Owners鈥 will be offered by the Small Business Center of 糖心传媒 on Sept. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cole Auditorium in Hamlet. This seminar will help local small businesses benefit from the current day lightning speed review process.

鈥淭wo-thirds of all consumers use review sites to search for business services and 86 percent said buying decisions were impacted by negative reviews,鈥 presenter Martin Brossman said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 your reputation! Don鈥檛 ignore what they are saying about you. You not only need to be, but have to be on top of your online reputation these days as more and more people are talking about you there.鈥

Brossman, a business coach and social media expert, will focus on how your business can obtain more great online reviews, and how to make customers from the not-so-great ones.

Describing the seminar, Brossman said, 鈥淚t is much easier to deal with issues right when they happen rather than after thousands of people know about them.鈥

This seminar is part of the 鈥淐yber Wednesday鈥 Certificate Series offered through the Small Business Center. Each session of the series will be held on the second Wednesday of each month. Complete four unduplicated sessions in a calendar year (Jan. 1- Dec. 31) and receive a Business Online Training Certificate.
